Urban Modern Contemporary Shabby Chic Rustic Mediterranean Industrial Farmhouse Bohemian
Art should be a magnet for the eye to become compelled and appeased, and that is exactly what we try to do. We want our viewers to not only see the beauty in the image itself and what it portrays, but to ask why? Why did they choose to paint an image of molten lava? or what made them choose a peaceful meadow scene to paint? By the collaboration of two individual artists coming together to create unique and variant pieces of work, the pieces we create reflects the loveliness of our multicultural country and world. Whether it’s the people living in it, or the places they came from. We strive to create art that exudes a sense of sophistication, art that has a clear relation to our land, our people, our emotions, and universal diversity.
There will never be one technique or style that best fits our dream or strategy for portraying one style of beauty. When we create our art, we are focused on the relationship between our art and what it means to us and who we are creating it for. Our goal is to create an extension of ourselves and impart a piece of our dream to the people who view it.
Elva was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The daughter of both immigrants, her parents believed that through travel she would see the world and the beauty in all cultures. She is a self-taught artist skilled in various art techniques and styles. Her favorite way to paint by far is by palette knife. She believes that a painting should not only be looked at but want to be touched as well. Her use of vibrant colors, 3D texture and style, creates a visual effect of both boldness, depth and beauty. Her influences and inspiration stems from places she has visited, their multiculturalism, and landscapes. Recipient of the 2023 People Choice award winner for "Rock Mountain Valley" at Gallery 501. Artworks can be found at Fallen Leaf Gallery.
Shawn's love of history, the cinema , and technology influences many his artworks and styles. Many of his inspirations comes from his upbringing ,and his childhood memories of watching science fiction, martial arts movies . He is a self taught artist, and a tactician in modern geometric art, and often uses his I.T background into his unique vision. His use of negative space in many of his artworks, lets ones eyes be absolutely drawn into his 3d imagery. His love of Japanese culture is quite evident in many of his works.

To date The Painting Pear have designed and created over hundreds artworks for residential properties. We have created pieces as small as 24 inches long to 3 custom pieces that span 12 feet, and are housed in a 40,000 square foot mansion.
The Painting Pear were given the task to modernize and add some contemporary appeal to the main floor foyer of the Garneau Professional Building in Edmonton, Alberta. This building has a classy and warm, Tuscan color scheme around the elevators and is very much within a beige, brown and orange color theme including the older, but refined style brick floor throughout.
The strategy was to include modern art that is going to revitalize and rejuvenate the main foyer, but that enables the "Glamour" to be brought out of a somewhat dated building decor. Three of the existing pieces were selected through our client committee, Northwest Healthcare Properties, and the Leasing Manager, Ms. Shelly Fedorak. Furthermore, we designed two custom pieces, to ensure the colors of the existing art and the foyer all tied in perfectly, for an art theme that building tenants and clientele will be charmed by.
This property has a diverse group of medical professionals that cater to a diverse group of clientele. Therefore, ensuring an upscale appeal with art, in the main lobby, is an obvious area for rejuvenation and overall tenant and client value.
Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT contacted The Painting Pear for another great opportunity to flex our creative muscles. We have been commissioned to provide some "Glamour" art to the newly built Queen Street Place professional medical office facility located in Spruce Grove. This art will flow with the structure's vibrant array of blue, grey and green colors to enrich and define the already super modern appeal.
This facility is gorgeous with expansive windows covering the entire front portion, contemporary grey tile throughout, modern light brown bamboo accents in the entrance, alluring frosted glass windows and rich Egyptian blue tree vases. Furthermore, the professional tenants in the office cover many medical services such as a pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging and cosmetic services for the various needs of clients in the local community.
Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT contacted The Painting Pear to have us create some custom art for them to add some "Glamour" to their office, which is currently under renovation. The Northwest team is a dream client to work with as they love art and how it can rejuvenate an office, adding refinement and sophistication to their facility.
I hope The Painting Pear can obtain more clients like Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT and their level of professionalism is only encountered in what I have seen as industry leading management professionals.
But enough about our great clients and let's talk about the office. This office houses 3 professionals, one administrator, one Property Manager and one Leasing Manager. The facility is located at 11010 - 101 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. Beige is the primary color with a blue feature wall that will be painted white. Moreover, there is a charming blue Northwest sign that boasts an Ultramarine blue with silver trim. Our goal is to create one or two pieces for this facility to assist the renovations and add sophistication and glamour within the entrance and hallway section. The office is on a smaller scale since three professionals are located there, so two or three pieces would be sufficient to provide the required art transformation.
